I promised myself that I would start exercising when I hit a certain point. Well that point is here. So I'm celebrating because as ob this morning I am OFFICIALLY under 300 pounds - 299.8!! But I am sad that I have to exercise now lol.

I have stupid criteria for exercising and I know it but there it is. I won't do it outside, where I live the seasons go from HOT to COLD in about a second with very little room for nice weather. I despise the Y when I went so I'm left to my own devices at home. I have a video by Leslie Sansone that I used to like but it got old after doing the same one over and over.

So, what exercise videos do you do that you like?

I've debated buying either an elliptical or treadmill. I prefer elliptical because I have no ovaries and treadmills are worse on my joints but of course those are harder to do and I don't know if I'll actually DO IT and I'd hate to spend the money if I won't do it...

I just started doing yoga.  Google yoga with adrienne.  I stick to the beginner weight loss yoga, and give myself A LOT of grace on things I cant do yet.  One of the things we lose with our weight gain is flexibility and movement.  Yoga is a great way to get it back, and believe it or not, is more of a workout than some of the water aerobics classes i have gone to!

Jillian Michaels body revolution. It comes with 15 30 minute workouts that get increasingly difficult. The beginning ones are fairly easy, and you can keep doing the same wee****il you are ready to go to the next one.

I find Jillian Michaels totally intimidating! Plus I'm not a fan of Biggest Loser - isn't that where she from?

I found the Jillian Michaels videos to be awful - really demotivating if you are on the journey to love yourself. The woman seems angry.

I don't agree with this at all. Maybe you were watching different videos than the ones I have seen.

She was on the Biggest Loser, but she I've seen her on other shows talking about how she does not agree with the way the show does things. That's why she left the show. I find her encouraging and motivating personally. I really respect her because she designs her workouts and bases them on scientific research. Yes, her workouts can be very hard, but the beginning ones are not. I am able to do the week 1 workouts better than the yoga for beginners workouts I also bought. You won't be a beginner forever, so it's good to having the subsequent weeks to work your way up to.
