Questions about RNY and Sleeve
Yes, it is possible, but it is tricky and most surgeons are not trained to do it. According to the surgeons I work for, the primary problem is being able to re-attach part of the remnant stomach. Some surgeins utilize part of the existing pouch (nd then add some of the remnant stomach to it) and others essentially remove the pouch entirely and reattach the end of the esophagus to a sleeve created from the remnant stomach.
Whether they are "taking down" the bypass portion of the RNY often determines which approach is used.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I still don't absorb by mouth iron well. I have IV iron infusions. It's not an uncommon thing. Have you heard about the by skin patch vitamins? I'm about to start that.
The heart medicine I hope they are dealing with now to get you the proper dose. I don't take heart meds but some meds I take I have to take a larger dose than most due to RnY. This med can be monitored by blood tests so I know I"m getting the right amount.
Good luck with your path.
