Tips for Travel
Hi all! I am leaving for Europe for 2 weeks on August 3rd. I am spending a week in Paris and a week in London. As it gets closer I am starting to stress about how it will affect my surgery progress. I am 2 months post OP and was hoping for advice or tips on what I should do while I am on the other side of the big pond.

One thing in Europe portions are not huge like in the USA. Bring protein powder with you to make shakes if you still use them. I have traveled a lot over the past two years and really hadn't had any problems.
I try to keep it simple meat and veggies. Most places will offer yogurt with breakfasts depending on hotel. Bring some protein bars with you to keep on you so if there are temptations or if you just need a snack.
Enjoy your trip and do not stress.
I travel a lot and have been traveling since week 3 post op (I went to Aruba 5 weeks post op). I'd bring RTD protein shakes, crystal light packets, jerky, nuts (sparingly), Quest bars for emergencies, PB2. At restaurants I go for protein first then veggies. I stay away from rolls and no alcohol for me. If the hotel has free breakfast go for the yogurt but stay away from the "continental breakfast" that is usually all carbs. Don't forget a blanket for the plane (you will freeze)!! Good luck and have fun.

First of all, I am so jealous. Paris and London are two of my favorite cities in the world. You will have such a wonderful time. You won't have any problems finding appropriate things to eat. Paris is full of cafes that serve lean steaks, chicken and fish. Check out the delis where you can get some amazing cheeses and meats. French ham is to die for. Same choices in London. At two months, you might want to stick to fish, seafood, deli meats, ground meat type products, etc. Remember to hydrate. That will be very important as you explore the wonders of those beautiful cities in the summer. Have a wonderful time!

Food quality in London and Paris is awesome. You do not need to pack snacks - they're not 3rd world countries lol. Go with an open mind and enjoy ...
I moved to Singapore 4 months after surgery and ate like a king - awesome seafood and fish - just avoid the rice and noodles as you would here.
