Patchmd for sleep

Has anyone used the patchmd for a sleep aid?  I have ordered the multi vitamin but it is not here yet.  I was also considering the sleep aid.

Also I see people who use the multi vitamin patch along with the calcium patch.  The multi has the required 1500 calcium in it so why the added calcium?  Just wondering.

I got a sample of the sleep one with my last order, and I have not found it to be very helpful (but my insomnia is menopause related, so I don't know if that makes it different or not).

I, too, don't understand why people are adding the calcium patch to the multivitamin patch.  The ASMBS recommends 1500mg taking our vitamin malabsorption into consideration, so if we absorb anything close to all of the 1500mg in the patch, that should be plenty.

I was taking 2000 mg of calcium before switching to the patch, and hage already experienced some bone loss, so I have been taking one dose of calcium citrate pills in addition to the multivitamin patch while waiting to find out what my calcium levels would be using the patch.

Thanks.  Maybe I will wait on my order and see if they send a sample.  It just sounded interesting.  I seem to always wake around 1 AM and toss and turn till I finally give up and get up about 5 AM which is really annoying.  This is new since the weight loss.  At first I thought just more energy due to the weight loss but now it is a pattern I cant seem to break.  I should go to the rec center and walk in the water and use the time constructively. Interesting how we always know what we should do ... But do we do it?

My BS drops in a middle of the night. To compensate for that - the body start making cortisol. too much cortisol = we are fully awake.

I kept PB by my bed, and when I would wake up - I would take 1 tbs..  and go back to sleep.

Now - I just have some nuts or nut butter just before bed. My BS keeps very stable.

I took Ambien for many years for sleeping.  My doctor switched me over to Trazodone  last year.  It is an anti-depressant, but an older medicine (very cheap) and at the lowest dose, and cut in half works great for sleeping.  It is not habit forming and in the low dose does not cause weight gain.

I need to get that. I took Ambien and would not remember things the next day that I did the night before so I was switched to Lunesta.  My insurance just stopped paying for the Lunesta.  I have Fibro related insomnia.  It would be great if the patches worked.
