Not a great Surgeon checkup
One thing I've learned after being on this board is that our surgeon's office, while it is an important resource, does NOT know everything, and they're not even always right. If I would've listened 100% to the office's nutritionist, I'd be eating bread, pasta, and other starchy carbs every day, and be nowhere as far along with my weight loss as I am. You've already done yourself a great service by using this board as an important resource, and customizing the plan.
Like so many others have said, your goal IS doable. You're doing everything the right way. As long as you keep it up, you'll make it. It may take a while, but you'll get there. You've already made amazing progress, and you have a huge milestone just around the corner. You should be really proud of yourself, and you'll do even better!
Like Kat said, you can really get a sense of the difference in posts between those who will make it, and those who won't (I'm not a vet and I can see the pattern). The fact that you've never cheated and tried to rationalize it away says so much about your character and dedication. You WILL make it!

Keep workign hard and sticking to a protein forward low carb diet. You are doing it.
Dont let the (probably) skinny ***** rain on your parade. You got 1-1.5 year of honeymoon. You are making the best of it.
