Good for you SweetShae!  You are doing great! What wonderful NSVs!

Love the idea of a purple beach cruiser, one because I love purple and two because you can ride it on a beach!  Yahoo!

Keep up the great work!

I started doing a ton of cycling after surgery, it's SO much fun!! High five to you!

If you haven't yet, I'd suggest picking up an app like MapMyRide for your phone. You can run it while you ride (keep your phone stashed in a bag on your bike) and it'll track your route, speed, elevation, and all that jazz. It's SUPER motivating to watch yourself ride longer distances and up your average speed!

I'll warn you, though, it can get addictive! You can buy all sorts of nifty bike gadgets and accessories, learn to do your own repairs, and look for local bike events. There are often major rides/races that will have segments of different lengths for cyclists of all levels. My parents ride an event where the "main" route is 80 miles, but they also have a 25-mile segment. I rode in one last year that was 104 mi for the full loop, but I did 40 miles-- they had 11, 40, 65, 85, and 104 segments. SUPER fun, and awesome exercise and sunshine!!
