1. Walk into any store and know something other than than the accessories will fit me.

2. Run 8 miles, bike 40 miles and swim 2 miles.

3. Standing at a concert for 6 hours without pain.

4. Crossing my legs.

5. Sitting in any chair comfortably.

Great Idea to do this list Melissa.

SO many to list but here are my top three:

1. Exercise daily and most specifically JOG 10km or more daily

2. Stopped taking medication, other than my Centre's vitamin regime, I take nothing else

3. Confidence, I learned to love myself again and now I am confident, happy and healthy!

Before surgery the 3 things that I couldnt do at my highest weight that are no problems now.

1. Wipe my bum comfortably. I always wondered why my back hurt. The stretching and twisting just trying to make sure everything was clean. (TMI, but true)

2. Sitting on lawn furniture. I was at an auction and was sitting on one of the aluminum outdoor chairs they had there. That sucker broke and I got stuck. I had to sit in the most painful position for HOURS until the auction was over cause I did NOT want people to see me try to pry myself out of it.

3. Laying flat in bed and still be able to breath.

The list goes on and on. My body has changed so much, yet at times my mind still has me weighing 300 lbs.

WONDERFUL idea, I love the list. I am so proud of everyone, well here are my top 3.

1. Buy my clothes out of the normal size clothes in a clothing store. (NO MORE PLUS SIZES)

2. Exercise everyday.

3. Eat a meal and not feed my breast anymore.

Before WLS:                                                 After WLS:

1) walk up and down stairs                            1) sprint up and down the stairs

2) tie my shoes                                            2) tie my own shoes and cross my legs doing it

3) sit in a booth at IHOP                               3) I Zumba instead and skip IHOP

You asked for 3 but there are so many more!

Just 3?!? How about 5 instead?

Although there are lots of fun things that I can do now that I couldn't before (fit in amusement park ride seats, be comfortable in an airplane seat, etc.), here the top 5 practical, common things that come to mind:

1) tie my shoes without having to sit sideways with my leg up on the couch

2) wrap, and secure, a normal sized bath towel around my body (I was using a bath "sheet")

3) wear high heels

4) take a bubble bath

5) sit in any seat, anywhere, without even giving it a second thought about whether I will fit

I have to take issue with some of these. I could not wear high heels before surgery, and still can't. And I was not able to wrap a bath towel around you before, and still can't.
