Funny Fitbit story

I was gifted a fitbit.  I was concerned that I wasnt going to make all my steps. Then I had to go skating. I was TRYING to do a camel spin (i.e. a spin where they turn with their feet and legs in the spiral/arabesque position) and I caught myself on both hands since I started to fall forward.  All of a sudden, the watch starts freaking out and I was so scared I broke it somehow!

And it said, "Congrats!  You reached Goal!  10,000!" (or something like that. I was sort of in shock).

It was almost like the watch was congratulating me for falling on my face!

So far, this watch has turned me into a total numbers watcher but in a fun way.

Good for you!! I love my fitbit, too. My whole family has them now. I am watching my brother's kids this week and the competition between the cousins has been amusing. My daughter always has over 20,000 steps a day, but she is a maniac. We all know we will never have as many steps as her. I like to average 12,000. I think it helps me so much mentally. I feel much calmer since I started getting my steps in.

Ha!  The first time mine "congratulated" me, I was soooooo close, it was late and no one was out. I wasn't going to settle for 9100 steps so I grabbed a dog and we went around the block. It was so quiet and kind of eerie. Of course I was beside a long row of bushes when the celebration started. Scared the heck out of me!!!  For a brief second I thought someone was coming up on me!  Fitbits are awesome, especially when I remember to wear it. =-o

I'm another Fitbit fan. I can't say I always get to 10K steps but I average 5000 to 7500 regularly. One thing that freaks mine out is overpasses. I ride my Harley most of the time now and those overpasses are counted as steps! So it's not uncommon to get congratulations on 200 flights of stairs on a long day!

I am addicted to my fitbit too!  I haven't been doing as well the past few weeks, but prior to that I aimed for !2,000 a day.  I always announce to my family when I have a party on my wrist!

Enjoy your healthy addiction!

I've found myself walking around my house at 11:30pm trying to get in my last 500 steps.  Then I wonder why I can't sleep.

Thanks for the laugh!!!

I will add my name to the FitBit Lovers' Coalition. I find myself parking way back in a parking lot or going up the stairs one more time just to make those numbers go higher.
