Had a great convo with the other mom and a good talk with my daughter this evening. I think all will be ok and the "break" from her phone will do my daughter some good I think.

There is usually food around in our workroom at school.  We have a lot of bakers, and lots of people who just bring things to share, so it just seems that there are always snacks available.  Luckily I'm downstairs and away from it, and it tends to be sweets which just aren't tempting for me.

b- cappuccino soy smoothie, jicima slices with herb chevre and HEB greek 100 yogurt

l - leftover chicken zoodles stirfry & cucumber onion salad

s- pistachios, popsicles

d - turkey salad w/ 2 melba toasts

I had to go to the interview for my current position my second day back from WLS. But, I did work for the county already but it is still nerve wracking! I hate they put it off for you. Just don't dwell on it all weekend.  Does your vibe feel good about the position??

Since I have been in a new office and we have been in training class for 1/2 the day everyday, we haven't done anything around food. But, within the work area, we celebrate everything with food. The best part about a big group, though, is that you get a very well rounded selection. There is always something healthy to choose. And, personally, I think gathering around food, is a great morale booster.

Time since surgery:  going on 4 months (unbelievable).

B1: Tea and SugarLeaf

B2: 2 slices of Kraft Deli Deluxe American Cheese (because I wanted it!)

L: 1.5 oz of steak with 1/2 tablespoon A1, about an ounce of GG teriakyi veggies

S: Yoplait 100 calorie greek yogurt, peach

D: 3 oz talapia and 1 oz of shrimp (probably have to eat over an hour), 1 tablespoon Hellman's tartar sauce

S: 1/2 oz almonds, strawberry protein ice cream (turned out really good... go figure, following the ice cream maker directions worked). I even used 1% milk in the ice cream and it turned out a great consistency. So many less carbs than the Yasso bars and didn't make me queasy at all.

Totals: Calories - 740, Protein - 67, Carbs - 43, Sugar - 25, Fats - 34

Forgot my vits again today... dang! I will at least take my night time dose. Water, started. Exercise - pool (if the sky clears up).

Everyone have a great day!!!!!

Highest weight - 440 lbs, Surgery weight - 395 lbs, Current weight - 291 lbs.

I do feel pretty good about it, actually, but I don't want to go in assuming it's mine, you know?  It was actually my outgoing supervisor who suggested I go for her old position.  Since then my director has been kind of wink-wink nudge-nudging me about the calendar invites and stuff.  LOL  it's pretty funny, actually.

Good morning everyone.  I haven't posted in awhile because my mornings have been crazy, and by the time I can sit down to post, the thread is usually dead.  West Coast problems.

The food situation is not too bad here.  I work for an integrated health system, so when there is food, the focus is on healthy choices.  There are even nutritional guidelines for company sponsored meals and events.  Not to say that occasionally someone doesn't bring in sugary treats, but sugar is not my thing, so I am rarely tempted.

We do celebrate everyone's birthday in the department.  We take turns sponsoring the birthday (e.g. cake, pie or whatever the birthday person prefers.  We also have a couple of gluten free people, so that is always a consideration).  It works well, and people like it.

Time since surgery:  7 months

B:  Lite mozzarella, bacon and egg beater omlette

S:  Cherries, string cheese

L:  Oriental Chicken Salad (it's a work lunch and this is generally a pretty good choice_

S:  Light and Fit Greek Yogurt - Strawberry Cheesecake

D:  Beef bol gogi

V/W:  In process

E:  Pilates

Totals:  Calories 710, Carbs 60, Protein 66, Fat 24

Have a great day everyone!

 Height: 5'7".  HW: 299, Program starting weight: 290, SW: 238, CW 138 - 12 pounds under goal!

You can eat nuts?  When were you able to start eating them.  They are on my "8 week and beyond" foods to avoid list.
