Hon look at your numbers.  If you divide the 75lbs post op by 4 that is 18.75lbs a month.  Even though you didn't lose that amount each month you are doing a great job. 

There will be stalls, plateaus, and your weight loss pattern may even change to a stair stepping pattern.  Just keep doing what your doing and don't compare yourself to others.  You will be at goal before you know it.

I honestly didn't think about it like that.. like diving what I have lost by the number of months. I was just so focused on this month that I didn't give credit for the others. Thank you so much for reminding me. Stalls do happen. I just have to push forward.

One other thing that I don't think was mentioned.  Take measurements. 

I started T25 two and a half weeks ago and haven't dropped a pound, but I have lost 5 inches.  Even if the scale doesn't move all the time your body is still changing and redistributing.  Pants that fit me perfect 3 weeks ago are now sliding down.

Always remember none of us put our weight on overnight and we not lose it overnight.

I agree with the others - those are amazing numbers! I hope to be as successful in 4 months - that would be INCREDIBLE in my eyes.  My last major attempt at weight loss was when I was banded in 2009. I could never, EVER get below 240 lbs - that was my wall, no matter what I did. It affected my head in a bad way, even though by all my blood work and activity, I was "healthy".  I started going downhill when I would think about it, and I re-gained 55 lbs before I knew it.  This time, I am not focusing on that number as much as I am going to focus on the way I feel and how active I will be vs. what I feel now. If that makes sense.   You are winning the battle thus far! Keep up the great work :)

Thank you so much. I know that you will be successful. I am so thankful for the replies and the support that I have got from the community on here. You got this and I need to make sure that I remind myself that I have done good. I need to just keep pushing.

The only thing what would have been abnormal is if you had only lost 2 lbs in 4 months as I orginally read that.

Stalls do happen, some people get them at different times. I had one that started one week after surgery and lasted 3 1/2 weeks. I've had several other 2-3 week stalls over the months. While I agree you can only eat a little at one time, My surgeon's plan said I could eat up to 5-6 times a day. Now I don't usually... but shake plus three meals is pretty common... occasionally a fourth meal. You might want to add another meal(2-3oz) of protein and see how it goes. Sometimes changing what you are eating, or adding more protein can get things moving again... and don't be afraid to add a little fat, we need that too.

Hello thank you for getting back to me. I am realizing for sure that stalls are defiantly common. I just have to stick through it and not give up. I'm worth it. I have decided I am going to add another small shake on top of what I'm already doing to see if that will help with things. Thanks for the advice.

I read an interesting article about weight loss. It said our bodies often "stall" at a weight we were at for any period of time. The body recognizes a set point, or weight it thinks it's supposed to be, and stops there for a while. Even tho I can't eloquently quote the article, I thought it made sense. Also, my doctor reminds me when I panic, our weight loss is like stair steps not a hill. That is absolutely right!  I do find that when I get my 10,000 steps a day in, it seems to jumpstart my weight loss  again.
