What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 6/16/15 9:01 am
Good morning. I know it is almost noon here. I get DD pretty often. I always get it black and bring it home to my own creamer in it. I have never had it taste sweet to me when it is black.
B:Egg whites with ham and cheese
L:Yogurt
D:Pork chop with apricot preserves
S:Cheese sticks
Vitamins are in water is going down. I may go for a walk on the beach.
I understand the whole coffee thing, but it's a hot tea thing for me. I have to have it! It makes me happy and I just make it at home so no one can screw it up. Sorry, your day started badly.
Well, I didn't make my egg cups last night. I had gone to the grocery store and I was just too tired... I think it is the heat. Our heat index today is going to be 105. Just walking to the parking lot from work and in and out of the grocery store yesterday just zonked me. LOL, I am such a baby. But, tonight... I am making the chicken florentine and the egg cups, dammit, my house is air conditioned!!
My menu today:
I woke up late and didn't have anything ready. I hate days like this.
B1: Tea and Sugar Leaf
B2: Yoplait Strawberry greek yogurt, 100 calories
L: 1 1/2 oz of beef jerky and 1/2 oz of almonds (see... had to grab it and go)
S: red plum
D: Chicken florentine
S: Genepro protein mixed in with hot tea (1/2 tablespoon)

Forgot all my meds this morning (what was I thinking) but have vits here at work and I will take 2nd dose at dinner. Water started. Exercise - walking (indoors), arm challenge
Have a great day!
Totally stress ate yesterday on several packages of Kay's Naturals Mocha expresso cookie bites. Luckily they have fiber and protein. Ugh. Coming clean, as in the old days I would have hid the shame and ate more. Have been in a funk for a week or so on and off, I think part of it is allergies and air quality and my head being in a fog... Going to the Surgeon in a little while for a follow up. Want to see how my bloodwork is as my protein was low last time.
B: Premier Protein
L: Burger, onions, pickles and wrapped in lettuce
D: Possibly out with a friend - This restaurant called 'The Meetball Place' Pick your meatball, pick your sauce and pick your side. Last time I got 3 meatballs and a side salad, worked out perfect and took one meatball and some salad home.
S: Lemon yogurt* and Blueberries
*My favorite way to make flavored yogurt is to mix the a quart of plain yogurt with one box of SF jello pudding mix. Dump the yogurt into a large bowl and mix well with a large spoon or rubber spatula. I use regular yogurt not greek as it does get thicker from the pudding mix, but I will add some of my unflavored Genepro protein powder. My favorites are Lemon, and cheesecake. I add a little vanilla and lemon juice to the cheesecake. You can additional sweetener to taste. So delicious, and because you are adding 4 cups of yogurt rather than 2 cups of milk the stats per serving on the mix are halved. I then put it back in the original container to store. You can even make Pistachio.

I hope all goes well at the docs today!I too am feeling like I'm in a bit of a summer slump. I'm attributing it to the sudden shift in schedule and trying my best to sort it out and have a daily plan, but well meh. I vacillate between wanting to get all of the things done and wanting to sit around and watch mindless movies/television/binge netflix/read. Why is finding a balance so hard? (lol)
I love the idea of mixing sf pudding into yogurts! I bought some sf pistachio and have been mixing a bit into my vanilla bean greek100 and it's delicious. Add in a few honey vanilla almonds and its so good it feels like a treat, not just part of my lunch.

When I did weigh****chers for a million years, I did the yogurt and SF pudding thing! They were both "core" foods at the time, and since I was on the "core" plan, I just mixed them together. People said it was cheating the system.....probably was. But it was good ;)
Hey, I stress bought 2 boxes of Yasso bars last night. I told myself that I wasn't going to get them again because they make me have a yucky pouch. Not really dumping, but just blech! I ate one last night but I didn't work one into my menu today because they are rather loaded with carbs and it messes with my numbers. I don't want to throw them out... they cost $4.99 a box (I can't believe I paid that much, they are cheaper at WalMart). But, I bought them and I may try to work one in maybe every other day. I am just mad at myself for buying something that doesn't really agree with me, just because I was hot and wanted ice cream. I have a long way to go, head and body wise.
So, since you confessed, it made me want to come clean... thank you.
Also, the restaurant sounds interesting. Wish there was a place here like that. And, I am going to try your yogurt trick. I use Genepro, too but I can taste it in water, but not food or hot drinks. I am trying to use it more because my protein intake can be low.
Hope you feel better.
This is my first post on the daily menu. I used to do this when I first had my bad in '06 and it helped a lot, so here it goes...
8 days out (and so tired of protien drinks!)
B: started with 2oz cookies n cream on yeah shake , then at work had Okios triple zero banana cream yogurt, about 1/2
s: NSA hot chocolate in water, 4 oz
L: tried some progrsso chic n cheese flavored soup, strained. Didn't like, ate about 1-2 oz
s: sugar free fudge pop
D: took potatoes from family's pork chop dinner bake (pot, onions, broth, seasonings) and blended with milk n broth to make some soup. Was pretty good!
S: SF jello or Popsicle
