Yogurt Substitute Needed

I have been using yogurt as my ice cream substitute for years. Since my RNY surgery in April, yogurt makes me feel very sour. I've tried light greek and light regular. Does anyone have anything they go to for that creamy taste that isn't yogurt?

You could make protein ice cream.  There are lots of recipes on The world according to eggface.

Try mixing a box of Sugar Free Instant pudding into plain regular yogurt- the quart size. Makes it very delicious and creamy and might cover some of the 'sour'... I like the lemon or cheesecake flavored. I add a little extra lemon juice to both and to the cheesecake I add a little vanilla extract. I don't use greek yogurt just because of the thickness... and the pudding makes it thicker. If you are freezing it, try a combo of yogurt and cottage cheese whirred in the blender and then flavored.

Like someone else mentioned, sugar-free pudding -- perhaps with some light/fat-free whipped cream stirred in -- can help satisfy the need for something creamy without the "ick" feeling that yogurt can cause.
