Can anyone tell me if they use a crunchy chewable vitamin and calcium verses the gummy type.  My surgeons instructions are not to use the gummy versions.

I use Bariatric Advantage chewables.  the calcium is like a candy.  Very yummy.  And my little treat each day.  The vitamin is a chewable tablet and its super sweet, but goes down ok.

Ditto all that AmyDee just wrote.  If you call Bariatric Advantage at (800) 898-6888, they will send you a free sample kit.

Be careful about ordering the calcium chewy bites.  They come in 250mg and 500mg.  It's silly, but the 250's are 20 calories each and you'll need six of them a day which equals 120 calories!  The 500's are only 15 calories each, and you only need 3.  And they ARE yummy!

This week I ordered the Calcium Lozenges instead... they are cheaper and lower in cals (but I'll miss that chocolate/peanut butter treat 3x a day.

I lso just ordered some caramel calcium chews so I can use them to calm my werthers craving I just woke up with today.  They are a great way to treat yourself while doing something good.

Don't worry about the calories.  It's the carb totals in them that can catch up with you.

Most people do NOT use gummy vitamins because they generally don't have even close to everything we need. You also don't need expensive "bariatric" vitamins.  Two chewable Centrum vitamins (available at Walmart for 1/3 of the cost of most of the "bariatric" vitamins!) are a very popular choice.

Lots of people use various types of the chewy (but not gummy) calcium, though (such as the Bariatric Advantage chews, the Celebrate chews, or the Calcet Creamy Bites).

Hi, I use Citra Cal petite 2 in the am and 2 at night I also use 1 b 12 every Sunday 1 multi vitamin ( Walmart brand of centrum for 50+ without ion for me I have to much ion as it is ) in the am and pm 3 stool softeners in the pm and 1 biotin in the am and pm. I just had my annual blood work done and my Dr. was  very pleased with my results on the regular blood work panel. Only had separate test done for thyroids since that was not included on my regular test. I am glad I only have to take my pills 2 times a day my Dr. said I am very lucky with that most people have to take more.

best regards,

Marita

Ok, so that makes more sense to me.  I did buy the centrum adult and the outside was crunchy but once i bit into it the inside was soft.  Im guessing thats ok?

I bought the centrum chewables, though the listed vitamins are not comparable to the baratric ones.
