The big day!!!

So tomorrow is the big day, its been almost 2 years in the making and now that its finally here I don't know what to do with myself. I'm super excited but I'm also having a lot of anxiety. Not doubt mind you, I am beyond 100% certain this is what I want and need. Just more of a fear of never being normal again. Yes I know my "normal" is what got me here and so leaving that behind is a good thing. But Its going to be a whole new world out there after tomorrow and I'm just a little scared of the unknown.

I know feeling like this is perfectly normal and pretty common but it doesn't reduce the anxiety any.

So today I'm running last minute errands, cleaning, and packing for my hospital stay. Maybe if I stay busy I wont have as much time to freak out.

Any last minute advice?

Go buy a few bottles of Isopure Zero in a couple different flavors (I liked the grape, orange, and the blue ones).  In the beginning, they were my godsend! I'd sip on a cup of for an hour or so and it was super easy to get my liquids and protein in. They may probably taste crazy sweet to you (everything I ate/drank had a super sweet or funny taste for the first couple of weeks - even tap water!).  If your doctor ordered post-op medications, go get them filled now.  I was so happy that I did.  Get your vitamins in order and put them in one of those daily pill thingies. Make it easy on yourself - once I was home, I was on pain meds and didn't want to do a lot of prep or thinking.

Go take a long bath, relax and know that you're in the home stretch.  See ya on the other side - you'll do fine!

Thanks Stevie, I've not tried the Isopure, where can I get that one. Right now I have Premier and a bunch of samples from syntrax and unjury. I tried not to buy too much because they said my tastes might change.

I got my prescriptions filled this morning and a bath sounds like heaven. Tks so much for the tips and support. I'll see you on the losers bench soon. :-)

You've done a good job listening to advice and carefully wording your sentences today to fend off comments..."100% certain", "normal,"  "common," "didn't buy much," and "taste may change."  I think a friendly send-off is more in order than any more advice.  Triksy, you've done all that you can; trust in the medical staff and trust in yourself to make this a dream come true forever.  Go, Triksy.

It sounds like you're certainly prepared! The thing that I was happiest to have brought with me to the hospital was my Biotene mouth spray...my mouth was soooooo dry after surgery! My husband used it after his surgery too.

Wish I'd known about that spray before I went, I was soooo dry, too.  For the hospital stay, I packed way too much (as usual).  In the end, the only thing I was really glad I packed was my own favorite fluffy blankie.  The hospital blankets are kinda yucky.

You're gonna do great, and congrats!
