I like it better than Gatorade.  Make sure you get the Zero one.  It will help keep you from dehydrating.

I put decaf iced tea mix into propel to make it more palatable and easier to drink. I find it almost as dense as regular water without it.

I had a hard time getting water/fluids in, in the beginning. I found if I started sipping water as soon as I opened my eyes, while I was getting ready it helped. I would try to get in 16oz before I moved onto my protein drink. Even premier, I would add some milk and or water to so the flavor wasn't as strong, and to make it 16oz. Then later in the morning, I would have one or two cups of tea or coffee. I already had 6 cups of fluids in before I actually ate anything solid. Once I ate something solid, I found it harder to drink. Then I would nurse a 16oz bottle of water all afternoon. Sometimes I would get more in, but if I didn't I had at least reached the minimum. Just what worked for me.

I think I have some of those, maybe chocolate, I'll have to go look. I'm just trying to look at the water and shakes as yucky medicine that I MUST take. I bought asparagus, brussel sprouts , baby zucchini and cauliflower to roast - in hopes SOMETHING smelled good enough to eat with the chicken tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's suggestions! I'll get the powerade tomorrow. BTW, the piece of watermelon I tried was DELISH!! ;-)

You just had your surgery less than a month ago. Chicken can be hard this early unless it's really moist but filling up on vegetables isn't any good either. Find another protien source. Tender steak, some seafood.  If you must eat chicken I get a rotisserie from the food store. They are nice and moist. This early out it should be protien protien protien. I craved egg salad and pickled eggs.  I also eat loads of seafood and steak. You can also get lunch meat and cheese and make roll ups.

I do an entire chicken in the crockpot, it generally turns out "melt in your mouth tender and moist", we'll see. And one brussel sprout will fill me up, if I even have room! I made a crock pot roast that smelled " to die for", puréed it, it tasted heavenly and my pouch said "WTH?!?!" and I'm scared of beef now. One slice of applegate turkey rolled up with one slice of cheese, I can eat half. My dr recommendations keeping carbs

There are 21gms of carbs in one serving of watermelon. I eat 30 total carbs in a day.  You won't stay in Ketosis and lose if you eat that. Learn to google carb totals in different foods.

I lived off of those shakes post op. I loved them too! They are really tasty..not gritty. I someties toy wiht the idea of buying some just for the chocolate treat aspect of it.
