Someone finally asked me if I lost weight today! I have noticed people giving me strange looks, but apparently they are afraid that it would be rude to ask. I told the person who asked that I was happy someone noticed! In related news, my clothes are all getting too big for me. I am feeling pretty good about my progress!

This is wonderful news! Wonderful!
If you can, Goodwill, Craigslist, Freecycle and upscale thrift/consignment stores are great places to find clothes. Some will be better than others. But you will find yourself going through sizes so fast (like I went from a 14-8 in about 2 months) that you really dont want to "invest" in something that you are g oing to shrink out of.
find the goodwills around the "rich" suburbs of your city for nice clothes for like 5 bucks a shirt!!
You are also doing good for the environment by keeping gently used clothes out of the landfill!

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
Yay, that's so awesome!! I thought it would take FOREVER before people noticed my weight loss. By that same token, I STILL get asked "How much more weight is gone? You look even tinier than the last time I saw you!!" ( I've been the same weight for about 6 months now. ) " Um...my weight's been the same since the last time you asked." is my standard reply. Sometime, I'll have to say I dropped another 150 lbs since they saw me last, just to freak them out.
Here's to your continued success! (

Hooray for you! That is so fantastic. Celebrate with a manicure or something really nice for yourself. Not sure if you've checked it out yet but I just joined a site called Gwynnie Bee - you rent clothes, it's kind of like Netflix DVD's but for clothes! The clothes are a bit more on the fancy/dressy side, but I am trying it out for work clothes (which for me need to be on the dressier side). I am planning to check out a few local thrift stores in my area this week too.
Isn't this awesome?

137 pounds lost - from a 24/26W to a size 8/10!
Congratulations--you're doing great! I'm at the same stage, it's kind of funny how differently people act towards you after you've shed some of the weight. Have you stalled yet at all? I'm fluctuating around the 238-239 mark and have been for a couple weeks, kind of discouraging I'm not sure how to kick start the weight loss again.
You just have to wait it out. It took me about a month to get from around 245 to 238i**** was painful and frustrating, and I about resigned myself to the fact that I must be a slow loser. But suddenly the scale started moving again! During that time I noticed quite a bit of shifting and changes in the way my clothes fit, so make sure you are paying attention to more than just the number on the scale.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention that I also walked over 6,000 steps in high heals yesterday! Yes, my toes hurt today, but I could barley stand high heals when I was heavier. A new pair of shoes sounds like a fitting way to celebrate!
