How did you lose those last 20-30#s
I agree with Grim. Watch your eating. If you are giving yourself permission to eat more because you are exercising, stop doing that. Unless you are an elite athlete you do not need to increase your calories.

It took me 1.5 years to hit my goal weight... just had to be patient and keep "working the program". If I am remembering correctly (its been almost 9 years) after the first few months I averaged about 6lbs lost a month, then it went down to 2-3lbs.
First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

I continuously lost weight and went under my goal a few pounds the first 2 years after RNY. I followed my bariatric food plan. I gave up carbonated drinks, didn't eat white food (bread, crackers, white potatoes, rice, cookies, cake, etc.) and have not frequented any fast food places.
I kept a daily food journal the first 2 years - keeping track of calories, carb grams, protein grams and ounces of fluid.
I attended weekly support group for the first two years, also. I tried to keep myself accountable.
It is work. I still maintain - protein first, veggies and fruit. I do use protein powder in a hot protein drink for breakfast but try to rely on whole (not processed) food for my nutrition needs.
I enjoy being at goal weight and have changed my thoughts about food. I see food as fuel and nutrition to keep my body functioning and replacing old and damaged cells. I don't run to food for comfort - I've found non food alternatives to "soothe" myself.
Just keep on your food plan and keep active. Be accountable. It is worth it.
