Am I "eating" (drinking) too many calories in my first week post-op?

My NUT sets no calorie goals, but I'm supposed to aim for 66g of protein a day, and I'm supposed to try to eat/drink 1 measured oz of water, protein shake, yogurt, or strained soup every 15 minutes while awake. Doing that today will get me to 750 calories 2 days post-op, all in the form of Greek yogurt, protein shakes, and soup (plus Propel and Vitamin Water Zero which don't contribute to the calories). I hit my protein goal today, actually getting in 69g, and that's where I'll stop for the night since I can't rely on physical hunger or fullness sensations right now. I am eating very slowly (about an hour to get down 6 oz of yogurt). My NUT assured me that it's not a problem that I'm finding it so easy to get things down...she said it just means my recovery will be relatively smooth. She told me not to worry and said that I'm better prepared than 99% of her patients, but I didn't get the chance to ask her about calories, and 750 seems like a LOT! Most people I see post on here are at 300-500 when on the all-liquid stage. Is it possible to stretch your pouch and stoma with liquids? Should I aim for less even if it means not getting all my protein and fluids in (which wouldn't be hard; I don't have real hunger right now). I do have a fast metabolism...all of my pre-op loss was due to a 2000-2200 calorie/day diet. Any words of wisdom from the vets?
I dont get those kind of calories in a day and i'm almost 3 months out, my understanding is that you dont count calories particuarly early on, just protein and water. Of course defer to your instructions but IMO it seems like a lot of calories. You should have no problem hitting even more protein with less calories.

Thank you very much for the input. My guess is it's the fact that I'm making the shakes with 2% milk, but that's what's specifically recommended by my program. I posted my food log from yesterday a few comments down. If you have any specific recommendations based off of it, I'd be happy to hear them!

Haha thanks, I'm definitely sipping and napping like a champ. =)

That seems like a lot of calories a week out. Even at 15-months out, I'm usually at 800 to 900 per day...

I just posted yesterday's food log a few comments down. If you have any specific comments about it, I'd love to hear them! If I need to make changes, it will be a lot easier to make them now than after a couple weeks of overdoing it.
750 seems like a lot of calories 2 days out. I was on 300-400 calories even in to month 3.

Wow, that's not much. I just posted yesterday's food log a few comments down...if you have any specific recommendations on what I can improve, I'd be really thankful to hear them!
750 Calories seems like a lot to me. How many shakes a day and what are you putting in your shakes, that might make the difference? I'm a bit over two weeks out and only getting about 450 calories right now. I have a shake in the morning, a yogurt for lunch, tonight I am having ham and Laughing Cow cheese and a Sugar free pudding for dessert and all that is only 455 calories. Are you entering into My Fitness Pal? That would help you see how many calories you are really getting. Hope this offers you a bit of help.
