Should I be worried?

I am at week 8 as of tomorrow, in the last week I have gained 2 pounds.  I am completely on program, and have not deviated.  I don't always get all my water in, but 90% of the time I do.  When should I be worried?  It is kind of depressing to gain, but I also know that weight can fluctuate so much.  I have not gained anything since I started the program which was about 50 pounds ago.

Do you journal your food?  If not, you should start writing down every single thing you're eating throughout the day (or record it on an app or website like MyFitnessPal).  If you're not recording everything, it's easy to take in too much and mess up your progress.

Yes I journal every item that goes into my mouth including drinks.  That is the only way to know what you are taking in.  I guess I need to amp up the exercise (which I also journal)

I bet it's your body just adjusting then.  Don't get discouraged, and I'm sure you'll break right through it.

No. I agree about the journaling but our weights fluctuate.  Many reason, humidity, water retention during menstration. It can't jump a pound or two right before you are ready to drop on the scale. That's how it was with me. I only lost 1 week a month. For 3 weeks my weight would be stagnet and then I would go up a few pounds and then boom. I would drop 5-7 lbs.

Good lord no, don't worry.  Perfectly normal.  There are a hundred-and-one reasons your weight can fluctuate and they're all perfectly normal.  You are not gaining fat, I promise.

Sugar bear you are only 8 weeks out... you will be fine!  I only lost 7 pounds my second month and I lost 150 pounds in just over a year.  Stay true to the plan and cool your jets sister.  Protein and water, water and protein.  You got this.

Cheryl,

I am 4 months out. Yes I have gained as well. Think I was having so much water and salty protein. No worries you are doing great. Stay on program and don't get discouraged.

Bless you,

Robin
