Obviously I don't have any first-hand experience but I have been reading these boards for years. It's certainly not uncommon for rapid weight loss to upset a woman's menstrual cycle. Possibly due in part to all those fat-soluble hormones being released from your deflating fat cells.

Its amazing how our bodies literally "change" after surgery. I have PCOS and so I had zero monthlies (before surgery) unless they were medically induced. Now that wicked b***h Aunt Flow shows up every month at the same time and they are heavier than I remember.

I had almost nonexistent periods (2 days at most) pre WLS, than I started day after and it lasted almost 2 mths, and Im still spotting on & off. But yes, I got lots of feedback, and it seems its pretty normal occurrence...

I'm Jo HW 245, SW 236, CW 151 Yeah (Normal BMI!!!!)

I had my period for 6.. long... AGONIZING *weeks* after RNY. Good luck :)

Referral - Feb 25th, 2014. Info Session - April 7th
Surgeon#1 - May 15th Dr. Glazer - July 23rd, Dietitian/Social Worker/RN - Aug 1st, Surgeon #2 - Sept 10th, Surgery - Dec 16th, 2014!
