Its sunny here in Illinois today,or at least right now ,but a *****illy. I think clouds are supposed to come in this afternoon. My favorite thing I ate last week was ham and beans that I made months ago and froze leftovers for later. I know what you mean AV. With hubby's diabetes and my weight loss surgery I frequently get in a rut and fix the same things over and over. I have a busy day today with errands to run,and then this afternoon I have to help prepare dinner for a children's choir from Africa that is presenting a concert at our church tonight. Then at 6 I have food pantry and at 7 the choir concert. Exercise will be done in there somewhere this morning. Lily and I will do 3 miles at the park, I will do another 2.5 on the treadmill and 25 minutes on the bike as well. On track with vitamins and fluids so far and here's the food plan: B 1/2 c steel cut oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L 1/2 a six inch chicken breast subway flat bread sandwich D 31/2 oz leftover fish from last night and 1/2 c veggie mix S Greek yogurt with granola. Have a great day with lots of good choices everyone!

What kind of iced coffee do you drink? I'm guessing your body doesn't mind caffeine based on your coffee in the morning too...I'm 7 weeks out and really missing my coffee!!!

Jay, every program is different regarding caffeine...mine has always been ok with me having a cup of coffee in the morning. I even know some people who got coffee in the hospital the day after their surgery. Others are NO NO NO - dehydrating, appetite stimulant - I haven't found this to be true for me personally. But as with everything, listen to your program (especially so soon post-op).

But I'll stop preaching and just answer your question. This afternoon I'm going to get a medium iced coffee with sugar free french vanilla syrup from McDonalds. It's 120 calories and fits into today's plan. I also am a fan of Starbucks iced coffee as you can get it unsweetened and doctor it up however you like. It seems like around where I live most other coffee places have pre-sweetened iced coffee, so that's never a good option for me - that's what you have to watch out for!

Good morning. My husband and I bought a pillow top mattress with the memory foam. I am not sure I like it. I feel like my body is imprinted in it. Not sure if it just in my head or not.

B:Coffee with creamer/Quest bar

L:Grilled chicken salad

D:Leftover chicken with broccoli

S:Cheese stick

Water is going down. I am addicted to Dunkin Donuts ice coffee

Vitamins are in

Enjoy the day. It is sunny today. The rain yesterday was horrible but it made everything nice and green

Yeah, so the Special K bar was a mistake.  LOL  It did not agree with me AT ALL.  I guess it serves me right for *****ing about how bored I was with my regular menu.  At least that doesn't have me running to the bathroom every 5 minutes.

I hate when that happens, I get so uncomfortable.  Glad it doesn't happen often.   Feel better soon.

Good Morning!!!

We might get some rain tomorrow or Thursday, fingers crossed as we do need the rain.

My fav from last week was probably Light and fit chocolate cherry yogurt (seeing your post I don't think that would appeal to you!) I am completely confused at the moment...since it's gym day I get my starbucks "fix" and I think they forgot the actual coffee. I was wondering why it tasted so creamy and then when I took off the lid it is just white! Luckily I am an early bird at work so I can text someone and have them bring me one.....so strange a coffee-less coffee?!?!?!

Anyhoo...

Time since surgery: 8 months

B: SF Latte (MAYBE?!?!?!), egg beater scramble with cheese and spinach, and some fruit.

S: Cranberry and almond Thin addictives with a light laughing cow cheese wedge

L: P3 ham turkey pack and handful of trial mix

S: L&F Greek strawberry yogurt

D: Flat out pizza slice and a small salad

E: Gym day-1 hour cardio

V/W: on Track

Totals: Cals: 999 (I need one more cal somewhere!) Protein:78 Carbs:83 Fat:39

Have a great day!
