Years ago when my family and I were on vacation my mom ordered a coffee with half and half at some little diner.  And she pretty much got just that:  half coffee and half cream.  Who doesn't know what half and half is?  LOL

Good Morning All,

In terms of mattresses, I bought the "W" mattress after staying at one of their hotels for a few nights and having the best sleep of my life, and it's been a great mattress.  I have had it for about 8 years now and love my bed.  It's pretty firm though, and that's what I like, so I know it's not for everyone.  Have you ever stayed at a hotel where you loved the bed?  Most hotels will sell their mattresses, so that's an idea if it's something your into.  I don't remember my mattress being crazy expensive either, I mean, its wasn't a screaming deal, but it was in line with what I was seeing at mattress stores.

In terms of best thing I ate, I've been in a total rut too (and my cupboards are bare as well) so I will be of no help in that department.  Which sucks because I hate going grocery shopping without a solid plan in place, that's when chips/crackers/candy end up in my cart...eeek!

Time since surgery: 15 months tomorrow

B - 1/4 Denver Omlette

L - Leftover rotisserie chicken with bell peppers, cucumbers and tomato

S - String Cheese

D - TBD after shopping, I'll prob be lazy and get more pre made chicken slices

W/V - On track

E - Walk at lunch and weight lifting when I get home (mamata, I never got around to the booty video, I swear I'm going to start tonight though :) I'll keep you posted).

It's sunny and beautiful today in NC. Hope it gets nice there, too. I do have a sleep number bed that I am not in love with. I will tell you that I have had it several years and I just think they are not designed for obese people. When I make my side softer than my husband's, I feel like I am in a hole and then when I roll to his side, I feel like I am balancing on a beach ball! I have noticed though, that since I have started losing weight, it does sleep better... I think the problem has been me!!  LOL

Best thing I ate last week was my 1st slice of cucumber since probably January. It was quite good! Focusing on protein, protein, protein has made me really miss vegetables.

My menu today:

B: Vanilla Premier Protein Shake with 1 oz. of dry SF FF pudding mix (chocolate) and ice. Was only able to get 1/2 down. Will save the rest for when I get home tonight after work.

L: 1/4 cup sliced strawberries and 1/2 banana (guess I am missing fruit, too)

D: Starkist tuna pouch (2.6 oz), 1/4 cucumbers and a little 3 cheese ranch dressing (if I can fit them after the tuna)

S: Apple Pie Quest Bar (1/2 mid day, 1/2 evening)

Totals:  Calories:  641, Protein:  71, Carbs:  67 (still too high)

Everyone have a great day!!!

Good morning everyone.  I am back from my long weekend in Seattle, and had a great time.  They have an incredible Nordstrom Rack in downtown Seattle that I love.  I bought a cute Tory Burch skirt and a Vince Camuto linen shirt for cheap.   I also ate and drank way too much, but it was big fun.  I logged everything in MFP to keep myself honest, but it is now back to the real world.

My mattress is really important to me, so I do not mind spending a lot for one that I really like.  I like a super squishy mattress, so I have one with a huge pillow top.  I can't remember the brand, but it is so comfortable.  I never have any aches or pains from sleeping.  It is 19" thick, so buying fitted sheets for it can be a challenge, but I love the darn thing.

The best thing I have eaten lately is some pate at a French restaurant in Seattle.  It was country style, which means that it is made of ground meat instead on liver, butter and cream (although I love that too, but it is loaded with fat and calories).  I ate it without the bread, and it was delicious!

Time Since Surgery:  5 months today!

B:  Egg beater omelette with light mozzarella cheese and bacon bits

S:  Light and Fit Greek Yogurt - Strawberry, 1/2 cup grapes

L:  1/2 Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken entree

S: Trader Joe's Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage Link

D:  3 oz grilled halibut, roasted asparagus

S:  1/2 cup ff cottage cheese

V/W:  In process, but I need to kick up the water

E:  I have my Dad tonight, so I will try to get in a walk at lunch.

TOTALS:  Calories 649, Carbs 42, Protein 82, Sugar 22

I am a little low on calories, but after this weekend, I'm in need of a couple of low calorie days.

Have a great day everyone!
