Just another person chiming in with, "I don't like sugar alcohols." I do OK if I have a stick or two of sugar-free gum sweetened with xylitol. But every time I have tried a protein bar with larger quantities of sugar alcohols, I will get horrible fatigue and sleepiness within 15 minutes. It is like I am drugged with a sleep medicine. I have to lie down and nap, and it takes me a few hours to regain my equilibrium.
