Totally off-topic, but where in OH? I'm from Lorain county originally and was in Cbus for 6 years before moving to the West Coast in 2013.

LOL funny coincidence! And you're absolutely right, there's not much else to do out there, I'm sorry!

I am from Oregon (Coos Bay) and live in Ohio now -- Mahoning County.

I don't think the walking is a good idea right now because I can't really walk without getting winded so I can't talk. But thanks for all of the reassurances that I'm doing the right thing by not going out to eat. I was thinking I was being selfish. My mom is kind of judgy but if I say I can't go out to eat she will listen and get over it or not. Now is not the time for me to care, I'm trying to take care of me and my health right now. I think I'll go with the pedicure and maybe the mall afterwards. I haven't bought anything in 4 months, I could use a new pair of shoes I'm sure!

In my first 6 weeks after surgery I had 3 weddings and my brother's 60th birthday party. Socializing is a part of life, and I personally would hate to skip it. Soup is always a safe option as someone mentioned... I also find fish usually to be safe out as long as it isn't cooked dry. You can go to a luncheonette/diner type place and always order eggs, just make sure they are cooked soft - they have a tendency to overcook compared to home. Have fun!
