No picture from me either but it is a beautiful day here in Illinois. It feels spring so I am wearing a light orange flowered top with a light weight bright orange cardigan. No black for me today!  Hubby played hooky from work today so we can go pick the youngest up from college for the weekend,go to Springfield to do some shopping and spend the day together. Youngest is coming home to pick up his new car to take back to school on Sunday. We got him a 2008 Ford Explorer. He's not a big fan of driving but since he graduates college in a few weeks and enters the work force(we hope!) he needs a car. Lily and I already have 3 miles in at the park and I have 20 minutes on the bike done too. If needed I will do some on the treadmill tonight. On track with vitamins and fluids so far and here's the food plan: B1/2 c oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L 31/2 oz salmon from last night and 1/2 c Asian veggies D to be determined as we will be out but some sort of protein and low carb veggie S salted caramel light a d fit with granola. Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Hi all! Kristen, I don't think you're a troll but it would be awesome to have the post leader put a pic up :)  Here is my pic from this week.  The cherry blossoms were in full bloom this past weekend here in DC, so on Monday I met a friend for lunch (OK, busted, for shopping at Nordstrom Rack) and we strolled by the White House and she took a pic of me.  I look at this picture and don't even know who this person is.

Anyway, I went out last night for happy hour and planned to not drink at all...yet had four tequila on the rocks, and a cigar.  Sigh.

This weekend I have a funeral and a birthday party.  The irony.

B: Coffee, coffee, coffee.  My bf is working from home with me today and he is Haitian so I have perfected making him Haitian coffee in a Moka pot.  Also graham crackers.  This is a terrible breakfast, I am well aware.

L: The innards of some legit Mexican tacos from a roadside place nearby (chicken and shrimp and salsa)

D: TBD - BF and I are going for a walk and going out.  We will try to find an outdoor table with this gorgeous weather we are having.

I guess my totals are a big unknown.  With my terrible breakfast, I will make sure lunch and dinner are high protein.  I track everything in MFP, and I am honest about it, so I always try to course correct whenever possible.

Have a great day and weekend, all!

I am so selfie-challenged. It took me about 6 shots to get that. I just got a new foundation this week, in my mirror I think it looks fine, but in the shots it looks too dark.... ???
I am nine months out on the 23rd... several 9 monthers on here... Yes! My appointment is on Tuesday with the surgeon, and I am hoping to hit 140 lost when I go. I am at 139... Congrats AV on the 125- isn't it awesome?

Tomorrow one of my support groups is having a food demo and tasting at someone house. (This group is community based and has patients from all different surgeons) I am one of the people demo-ing. I am making parmesan crusted flounder, My flourless oatmeal muffins with added protein, homemade quest bars, and Turkey meatballs and sauce. We are doing it at 5PM, because the tastings will be a meal for everyone.

I love Quest bars. Where did you find a recipe or was it trial and error?  If it's online, can you post a link to it?

This is the sweetner/fiber they use in quest bars. I bought the sample pack from this website, and they send you the recipe. It is easier than easy.  2 TBSP Sweet-it syrup, microwave til it bubbles. Mix in one scoop of protein powder and 1 tsp nut butter of choice(optional). That's it. If it looks too dry you can add a tiny bit of liquid. Form it into a bar and Wrap it in saran wrap and put it fridge or freezer to firm up. I use Peanut Butter Cookie protein and it tasted like I was eating cookie dough- in a yummy way.

Sweet-It

and here's a blog post about it with more ideas.
