Skating Skinny Scientist
One of the things I am most grateful for, after back and weight loss surgeries, is the ability to JOG and SKATE. Previously, I couldn't walk without dragging my leg. Back surgery and lots of PT got me walking again. Then I dreamed for being able to do step aerobics, tae bo, jogging and finally being able to figure skate again.
It is really weird, how much more one can appreciate the simple things in life after they are lost. In reclaiming figure skating, I promise never to take it for granted again!
In this photo, my coach is teaching me what a pretty landing for a jump "feels like." By the smile on my face, it sure dont feel pretty but I like the way the line looks in the photo!
Having fun!
