Another NSV Down...
Hello, Folks!
I ran my first 10K race on Saturday in Central Park - the Scotland 10K. My pace, 12:10 minutes/mile although not a personal best, is not shabby for running at twice the distance than I have before (5K/3.1 Mi, 4Mi). The net time, 1:15:35 does qualify me for the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon. Yes, I am saving my money for the fees, airfare, and everything else.
My next race is the Run for the Parks 4-Miler in Central Park this Sunday. The Brooklyn Half is a month away, and i am training for that as well. Next Wedensday is the monthly meeting of NYU-Lutheran's Surgical Weight loss Support group, and the 28th is when entries open up for the Disney World Half-Marathon. That day is also NYU-Lutheran's WLS Open House, so I will be busy this month, and (hopefully) i'll hit goal weight! If not, that's ok...
Thank You,
Don
Don, you should be so proud of yourself! What a year it's going to be for you. Thanks for sharing. xoxo
