Super awesome!  Your plastic surgeon is one that I'm keeping in mind - Bethesda is way closer than NJ, after all.  Did you have your plastics in an MD hospital?

Gwen, I cannot recommend Dr. Joseph Michaels enough!!!  He is in Rockville MD and also Fairfax.  I had my surgery at Sibley here in DC which was an awesome experience.  He has a lot of experience dealing with weight loss patients so his technique is very advanced.  For example, while some surgeons basically cut around you and sew you up, he uses your tissue to augment your buttocks so you don't have a flat butt.  He also does wonders with a breast lift!  I could not be happier with him, his techniques, his office staff...he corresponds via email as well.  You will be in SUCH good hands.  I can't imagine having a four hour drive home after surgery or for follow up visits so I am so glad I went with him.  PM me if you want any details.  Here is his website http://www.josephmichaelsmd.com

Thanks!  I'm still a LONG WAY off, but I'll be keeping him in mind when I'm closer :)

Thanks, Susan!  Beyond amazing is probably a better description :)  I am feeling pretty freaking awesome.  I am so thankful that I could have plastics - although I felt super fit and healthy after losing all the weight, now I actually like who I see in the mirror :)

You better rock a bikini on Memorial day. Just do it.

Your post plastics pics make me so jealous! I would definitely get rid of the saggy stomach skin in an instant no matter how painful IF a rich relative would give me money. However, there are no rich relatives and hubby is retiring soon so I will just have to deal. Thanks for sharing your story and the journey with us!

I hear ya, Karen...it was not a decision I made lightly.  Funny enough, I paid for it with a severance package from about eight years ago.  At the time, being part of a mass layoff was extremely difficult and traumatic.  Now, I realize, everything happens for a reason!

Thank you SO MUCH for posting these pictures.  Having the before and after pics is such a great help!  I'm just starting to study the surgery options for my droopy skin - so many choices are intimidating!

Great job losing the weight!
