how long were you off work?

Sounds valid to me, especially considering the lifting a nurse must be able to do.  I'm restricted from lifting more than 20 pounds for 4 weeks.  I would ask again!

I am 7.5 weeks out and still off...kind of. I work for myself and some of my job is very physical: lifting, carrying 50+ lbs, etc. So I'm not doing that part. I've taken the opportunity of not being able to carry to do a lot of computer work and work on some redesign and rebranding that I've wanted to do for a long time. ETA: But I couldn't concentrate on much of anything and was very fatigued until about five weeks out. Then around the six-week mark my ambition came back :) This will end up being a small year for my business but totally worth it. It's given me extra time to step back and really think about how I want to approach it for the next few years.
