Low Blood Pressure

My blood pressure was 80/58 yesterday at my endocrinologist's office.  The nurse asked if I could be dehydrated?  Ummm, no, I drink a gallon of liquid a day!  The doctor didn't seem concerned.  Anyone else have low blood pressure?  Wondering if I should be concerned...?

I have the same thing since I've had WLS.  Even when I had a regain, my BP still stayed low.  A couple of times I've asked two separate docs about my BP being low and if I should be concerned.  They told me not to be concerned because they weren't.

I had surgery in 2001 and lower BP since then, and I'm doing fine.  If your doctor wasn't concerned, I don't think you need to worry.

Low BP is pretty common after WLS.  My new normal is 90/60.  I was told to add a little more salt to my diet.

It's pretty common, especially early out.  I passed out a few times from orthostatic hypotension. We do a bunch of damage to our veins while obese, which contributes to low BP.

I was told to get even more fluids -- I'm usually at 128 ounces a day -- and more salt.
