Hey all! Looking for some advice here..... My centre isn't giving me concrete numbers and I like to work with concrete numbers so.....  What is your daily guidelines for sugar/fat/carb grams?i still base my food on protein intake and intake minimum 70-80grams a day.  I am at 178lbs (3 lbs from my centre's goal, my personal goal is 150lbs).  how many calories in total do you eat?

I am eating the same foods now for months and want to try to branch out a bit.

I don't count calories, Only protein and water. 60-80 protein and 64oz water as a minimum. I am 8 months out. I do eat low carb although I don't count them. -"Protein first, then veggies...fruit and then starches only if you have room." That is my surgeon's mantra. That being said there is a post on the RNY forum, Monday to Friday called "What are you eating today RNYers?" A lot of people who post on there do list their  calorie counts... and if you posted the question I am sure you would get responses. you will also see plenty of ideas of what to eat. It always inspires me.

I consume at least 60g of protein per day but I don't track fat, calories, or carbohydrates.  I simply avoid highly processed foods with added sugar and fat, and strongly favor whole plant foods.

My surgeon characterizes our meal plan as, "Low-fat, low-sugar with adequate protein."

I don't count calories either. I just make sure I get at least 65 g of protein between three meals. Always start the day with my vitamins, and make sure I getting those 64 oz + of water throughout the day. I do add veggies to the meal and eat them after the protein as required. No simple starches... Sometimes I use complex seasonings mixes to dress up the veggies. Dense foods; I use high calcium veggies instead of milk products. Post-op lacto issues for me are unpleasant. I skipped yogurt too. My calcium numbers are good from the annual blood panel test. I do not do packaged meals, always cook, cook ahead, and freeze the cooked stuff. Makes life easier to control the ingredients used.
