Hey there!! I am new here...had Roux-en Y on Wednesday, March 25th.  I came home from the hospital yesterday.  I am doing ok...but would like to eat a sugar free Popsicle.  It is on my stage three diet plan...however in the hospital they won't give them as they say the cold can cause spasms in the stricture of my new pouch.  I don't want to cause myself pain...just thought I would ask here....thanks!

The morning after my surgery right after I passed my barium test I was given one.

Hi! And congrats!! I ate s.f. Popsicles the second week after. I think I was allowed right away if I wanted. The first week I just had water and warm broth.

SF popsicles are part of the clear liquid diet. I don't remember if I ate one during my first week or not. I remember my nephew had them when he was still in the hospital.

Right away, in fact I think it was the first thing they gave me at the hospital.

It was the first thing I had in the hospital (after ice chips) in the hospital the evening of surgery...

A sugar free popsicle was the first thing I had by mouth in the hospital after surgery.

I had my rny 3/18/15 and was home on the 20th sf popcicle and jello were my best friend the first week. I just bought more yesterday  :) they seem to curb the random cravings I'm having at 4 weeks. :)
