I think I'm coming down with a virus!!

My surgery is scheduled for Friday morning (March 27), after a long eight-month journey to get here. I think I may be coming down with a virus-my chest feels heavy, it hurts to cough..my nose is runny. Has anyone else experience illness this close to surgery? If so, did it cause postponement? I'm so bewildered/disappointed, I can barely process this! Thanks for any advice you can share.

If you haven't already call your surgeon ASAP.  Let them know what is going on.  They will be able to tell you if you will have to cancel or not.  Here is hoping you don't.

I'm going to do that as soon as their office hours begin. Probably have to postpone the surgery, but that's better than pneumonia, etc. Just bummed out over this! I was SO careful about not going out in public for the past TWO WEEKS! I can't imagine how I contract this. Thank you ladygodiva1228.
