Next step after first Denied request of surgery..

Get a copy of your insurance document and find out what it covers and what the appeal process is. I was denied last April and had to hound my insurance company to provide the denial in writing so I could begin the appeal process. To make a long story short my insurance company approved my surgery on March 4th and I'm scheduled for surgery April 14th. Don't rely the doctor's office to do it for you. Once you know what your insurance covers and what the appeal process is you won't feel so discouraged because you will be in control.
