Hello RNY’ers. I am so happy today I get to upgrade my diet to pureed which now includes poached eggs minced meats melba toast and other new stuff. I was so excited to eat a poached egg because I loooove eggs and have not had any for a month now. I sat down and took my first bite then took my second one so fast that I nearly choked on it for like a whole minute. I forgot to slow it down. I won’t make that mistake again

Congratulations! Eggs are difficult. Everything else pureed goes down so easy, but eggs usually cause problems for me. I ate them this morning, and I am still feeling it.

Yay for eggs! My surgeon recommends you start with poached or soft boiled too. If I eat out and order eggs- I always ask for them cooked 'soft' ...dry eggs don't work after surgery.

Before surgery in 2008, I liked eggs, especially omelets.  Soon after surgery I took a bit of Egg Drop Soup and it tasted just awful.  Until recently, I couldn't stand eggs or even seeing someone eat them.  Now, I can eat eggs most of the time.  Weird.

My RNY was on 3/17 and I'm still on full liquids.  I have one week before I can advance and I am counting the days!  :)  The good part of the liquid diet is that I am down 20 pounds and feeling pretty good and back at work now.  Good luck on your journey!  :)
