Did your calves get smaller as you lost weight?

When I went looking for boots I had a funny experience. I was trying a pair on and could quite figure out what I didn't like about them. Then it dawned on me they were too big on the calf. Some manufacturers do make them larger. This was in a Marshalls

Mine are smaller, but I still can't wear high boots either. In my case it's not the calf width, that fits no problem; it's where the boot**** my ankle that is just too snug to be comfy. They need to make cankle friendly boots!

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

My calves were huge before surgery.  I was finally able to fit into a pair of regular width boots last winter, so yes, they are now much smaller.

Yes, when I lost 190 pounds, my calves got smaller BUT I have always had muscular calves and thighs, and there are still some knee high boots that I cannot wear.

I have a friend who isn't overweight, but she has "cankles" and she cannot wear most knee high boots, so it really depends on how your body is made and how the boots are made.  They do, however, make boots with a little extra room in the calves.

yup my calves are now normal size and knee high boots are actually loose around my calves.  I couldn't wear them before, or I had to get the wide width ones.

I have lost several inches already in my calves. My foot is thinner, but I am still a size 12. dang. Was hoping I would go down a size or two.
