What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Good afternoon all!

I LOVED coffee before surgery.  I especially loved pumpkin spice, cinnamon, vanilla, really any flavor at all.  My surgeon says no coffee EVER.  I was so bummed.  So of course I have a new obsession - flavored hot decaf teas.  I seriously have 15 different kinds.  I carry it in my purse.  I am always ready for decaf tea.  It just seems to go down so much easier than water and since I am always cold, it helps to warm me up.  I also discovered I can make a tea latte which I save as an occasional treat for myself.  I learned how to make it from a young lady at a coffee shop.  YUM!  It makes me feel like I am still drinking a fancy coffee.

I am a music person . . . Love all kinds of music, but when I was in high school it was Van Halen (I secretly thought I would marry David Lee Roth one day), Rush, Duran Duran, Journey, Wham, Aerosmith, AC/DC and the list goes on and on.

B:  2 turkey bacon, 1 egg

L:  chicken salad, small salad

D:  turkey chili, spinach

S:  L&F yogurt or tea latte - you got me thinking about it

V/W:  on my way

E:  water aerobics, treadmill for 30 if I have time

High: 295  Pre-surgery: 267  Current: 142   RNY: 10/7/14

Hi Everybody,

I drink Dunkin Donuts coffee black from Sam's Club most of the time.  I occassionally  get coffee at Biggby Coffee, usually a caramel mocha sf, skinny with whip, and an extra shot.  I like it hot, and frozen, I use it as a treat.  Like I said I have maybe one a month.

I listened to the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen,(that was a rockin concert), Michael Jackson, Dire Straits, Three Dog Night, ELO, Ted Nugent, Beatles, Elvis, I could go on and on.  I remember my first record was a 45, Beatles "I want to hold your hand".  I went to many concerts.  Had a blast.  I also made mixed tapes, ha, ha, ha, it was fun.

I'm SO beyond thrilled to see that there's coffee after RNY!  This morning is Day 1 of my 2 week pre-surgical liquid diet with NO DARNED COFFEE!  I am ecstatic, joyful, relieved, and over the moon happy to see that you all still get to enjoy your coffee.  Hail my beloved Keurig! Surgery is 4/8 - see ya'll on the other side. My coffee cup is waiting . . .

Hi all.....Its been a long time since I was here. 11 years out. I grew up in the 70's, 80's so loved all the dance music and soft rock bands of the 80's.....whitesnake, bon jovi, aerosmith.

B  all natural PB on rice cake

L  (bad, I know) 2/3 slice ham and pineapple pizza. Kids and I were at the beach and ate on the boardwalk. My 7 and 8 years ate more than I did...LOL

S  all natural PB on a few triscuits

D  chicken with green beans potatoes cooked in crockpot

Definitely too many carbs.

I am not a coffee drinker, but do rely on too much caffeine just to function due to chronic fatigue since childhood.
