What's on your menu this Tuesday, RNYers?
Hi All! Anny, I am late to the party but WTG on the new job; it sounds awesome! I was snowed in yesterday and my kid had the day off from school, so we played outside until it was too cold. Then we came in and played Mario Kart until it was time to nap. Then we watched Groundhog Day a couple of times. Fun day! I also missed a dental appointment that I have rescheduled for today. Yay! Except not really. I hate the dentist so much. I'd rather have a well woman exam every week than go to the dentist twice a year. And this time I think it's going to turn into a long visit because I have a cracked tooth that needs repair. Pray for me. LOL
B: coffee with whole milk and a L&F Greek strawberry
S: P3 pack with roasted turkey, almonds and Colby jack
L: Leftover venison chili and Fiber Gourmet wheat thinables
D: This will be post-dentist, so I'm thinking protein shake; Click Frapp, maybe? I haven't had one of those in a while...
TOTALS: Cals: 808 Protein: 88 Carbs: 62 Fat: 26
Have a great day everyone!

AV your snow day sounds way more exciting than mine! I cleaned the house & did laundry and shovelled, shovelled, and shovelled more snow! Good luck at the Dentist! I hate the Dentist too and I mean HATE. If I have to have work done I need to take an anti anxiety med, serious, I get so anxious that I can't calm down. Call me a wuss but I totally get where you are coming from!! Praying for you!!!
Happy Tuesday! A 2 hr school delay is throwing me off this morning. No gym, late breakfast...at least my vits are in.

Hopefully today I will get at least 30 minutes done on the bike. Karen just wanted to wish you speedy recovery and hope you don't over do it and hurt yourself. You are doing great and the treadmill and walks with Lily will be there when you are ready! Just saying this as someone who cares and wants to see you well! Hugs, Daisy
Good morning OH world!
Freezing my (smaller) ass off here in DC...my god, I don't know how you northern people are coping...without my extra layer of fat, I am DYING of cold!
Anny, I like the concept of having a topic and of course my mind is currently blank! So I will think on it and get back to you.
My menu is a bit up in the air - I have a lunch date and a friend is in town so I am going out for dinner. So expensive, wasteful, and high calorie...but that's the price I pay for being an insanely social extrovert I guess! At least since surgery I (mostly) make good choices and man, when I think of what I used to eat at restaurants...it shocks me!
Time Since Surgery: Almost 14 months (I have my first post-op appt in a couple of weeks and will have labs done)
B: Coffee with half and half, two hard-boiled eggs made into egg salad
L: TBD - maybe the Power Chicken Bowl at Panera?
S: Manchego cheese with fig butter, maybe a Light and Fit greek yogurt with almonds
D: Since I know the restaurant, I know I will have a little hummus, a little cucumber yogurt, some fried brussels sprouts and some shrimp in lemon dill sauce
E: I did a 50 minute strength training class and then 35 minutes on the Arc trainer. I will also get in another 2 miles of walking to my various meals in the city lol
That's it from my end. Insanely impressed you're exercising with broken toes, Karen! Have a great day, all!

Em, I am right there with you on the cold part!! I am CONSTANTLY frozen. I use hand and boot warmers, I got for xmas one of those "Magic Bags" that you warm up in the microwave, I use it in the evenings while watching TV or on the computer. I sleep in thick jogging pants and a long sleeved sweater. Its brutal and I am so done with WIND CHILLS! Stay warm my friend!
