Ditto to the above replies. Everyone is different, and what works for you may not help everyone else. Especially if it's unhealthy and/or dangerous.
I've found that fiber does help-- I take Metamucil pills along with my other meds at night. But I only do so with the approval of MY doctor who knows MY medical situation. The Internet should never be your doctor.

Wow.. I wasn't expecting this much negative feed back on everything I said... :(
It was on this site that I found someone else suggested Smooth Move tea and others said it helped them too. So I tried it last night. I was just using benefiber to give me more fiber in hopes I wouldn't have such painful movements anymore. I can't make anyone do anything I just thought if it helped me this one time it might be able to help someone else.

You are 4 weeks off the table and consider yourself in a stall according to another post because you aren't losing as fast as you want. When you called your nutritionist did you tell her about your laxative regimen?
"The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth and sharpen my tongue." --- Dorothy Parker
"You may not like what I say or how I say it, but it may be just exactly what you need to hear." ---Kathryn White
Considering that I have only used the tea ONCE it is not a problem but thanks for judging me and calling me addicted to it. I have spoke with my NUT and my diet is fine and they did tell me if it went multiple days without going that I could use something like Miralax/ stool softener etc to let me go. And they did tell me using benefiber at every meal was fine. Me losing weight has nothing to do with needing to go to the bathroom. I had the same issue of stalling weight loss even before surgery...so this is nothing new.
I believe that people with bulimia, anorexia and other eating disorders use laxatives in this manner in order to lose weight. I don't think it's a healthy recommendation.
I take Fiber Well Gummies every day, and Miralax a couple of times per week to help with constipation. I've found that eating a balanced diet with green leafy vegetables helps to prevent constipation. Plus drinking lots of fluids for hydration.
