Tips: How to Combat Constipation & Great Bariatric Ap!
So like most of you I struggled with constipation after surgery... Well I have finally found what works for me.
1. Take Benefiber with your 3 meals a day (it mixes right in with drinks or pureed type foods)
2. Drink "Smooth Move Tea" when/if needed ( You can get it at walgreens and it tastes great!)
I had no issues like cramping or pain with the tea or #2.
***NOTE I have only taken this tea ONCE and it helped me...but I AM NOT recommending it as a way to make yourself go to the restroom everyday!!! Check with your doctor***
Great App for reminders!
It's called Bariatric Timer. You set it up to your times in between meals and snacks and then now long you have to wait after eating to drink and how long you have to wait before eating after drinking.
It's great thus far.
Hope you find these tips helpful!

Smooth Move tea is a laxative. Smooth Move Tea's main ingredient is Senna. This should NOT be used for more than 10 days. Daily use will lead to laxative addiction and difficulty passing waste without its use. Additionally, another concern with using Smooth Move Tea is the inclusion of licorice root in the ingredient list. Licorice root, when taken with another ingredients with diuretic effects, can lead to seriously low potassium levels. The heart needs sufficient potassium to beat and control blood pressure. If potassium reaches risky levels, blood pressure could rise dramatically and death can occur.
I would seriously re-consider your advice to drink this tea "every night or every other night" ...

Yeah, I was told that licorice is a no-no while on blood pressure pills. My dad has been on BP meds since he was 25 and thinks that's terrible, so I'm supposed to bring him a 2-litre of Mt. Dew and a giant box of black licorice on his deathbed so he can go out happy. (Only half kidding!)

Right I went back and changed my post...I guess I should've put disclaimers and more information that I had only taken it ONCE and it didn't hurt me but helped me. I'd like to hope everyone is responsible enough for themselves to do research themselves. The fiber has softened everything which was my major issue because of how compact it became.

To the OP
Don't pass out medical advice on here unless you know what you are talking about. If you need Miralax 3xs a day and then Smoothe Move tea at night. I hate to say it but it sounds like you working your tool by laxative and not by a proper diet. That sounds like a sickness and maybe you should consult your surgeon and nutritionist.
A gentle laxative once in awhile is expected. You seem to have an addiction.

Others have addressed the constipation issue. All I can add is that your doctor is the number resource to guide you to help for constipation.
As far as the app? The last thing I want or need is something nagging me or reminding me of when to eat or not. I don't want to spend my days focused on my next meal.
I do set my phone timer after a meal for 30 minutes so I can drink again.
