Those that take Colace...

Thanks for the responses!  I have taken two of the Colace's and I hope things begin working sooner rather than later.  I will take some Mirilax this evening as well.  I am glad to know that we can continue taking Colace that they dissolve well.  Coffee - never liked the stuff.  Here's to a fast soft bowel movement - ewwww.!  :-)

It may take 1-2 days for colace/Miralax to work, so don't give up on them. I had to take 2 doses of milk of magnesia to blow out my rocks...and it was painful. That's why it's better to take colace/Miralax daily for prevention.

 You can take them.  They don't work through absorption, they pull water and fat into the stool, making them softer.

Good info.I bought every thing including enemas and remained in pain until I tried walmart brand "Natural Vegetable Laxative"I have taken 3/. night for 3 weeks now.I had no idea I was hurting my colon it is a stimulant.I will go back to Colace and Miralax and hope for the best.Thanx for sharing.
