Advertizing Rant

 Mine keeps showing the sims 3 and Levi jeans lol And Mike Rowe is hot! I wouldn't mind getting dirty with him 

LOL  I vote for him, too!  He can track mud on my kitchen floor anytime!!!  And eat crackers in
my bed!!

 I get LOFT ads. So it's not bad enough that they send me emails on a daily basis, I also get it on OH. They are ENABLING me to max out my credit cards! I wonder if you clear your history, what could pop up?

Who knows, indeed??  I have just cleared my history and it's the pitz trying to get all my normal
websites back into my computer. 

It really ****** me off that we are nothing but targets for ads. 

The ads I see are mostly for bariatric surgery aand how cheap I can get it done for.... Being that I have already had RNY they need to get smarter about how they do their advertising..

Oh and Mike Rowe I'd LOVE to have ads with him all over my web page, what's not to love about him? drool

The others are correct, you see ads for whatever you may have searched for or what you have read in emails or posts.

Just an FYI as a business owner who has ads on some of my sites, if OH did not have ads on their site, they would have to charge us a membership fee in order to keep going. They have a LOT of visitors and someone is always on here posting and reading. It costs money to maintain a large site, it costs money for servers to host the site, etc.etc.

Just thought I'd explain the ads. Remember, we don't really have to look at them or click on them if they are not of interest to us.

I do know that;  I'm not entirely an idiot. 

My entire rant was that the MESSAGE of the ad is so wrong.  It is part of the "Consume Mass
Quantities" brainwashing that is ongoing.

That is what I am ranting about.

And I still don't like the targeting done by computer programs.  So I'm a privacy freak;  sue me.
