I have a similar reaction to sugar. I can eat a small amount if I've eaten a meal with tons of protein. Like a bite of cake or bite of pie.
I like your after pic.

That last episode was horrible...really a near medical emergeny.  My blood surgar was probably in the 30s, but I did not have my meter with me, and I not at home and could not even walk.  It was a good lesson for me to learn.  I did not touch sugar for 13 months and pre-op it was my downfall.

Oh my you look fab!!  Your arms, face and neck!!  What great looking skin too.  Congratulations.  I am one year out and have lost 98 lbs and some people don't recognize me.  I have a ways to go-I would like to lose another 30 lbs.  I am wondering how long the losing can keep going.  I am going to be 70 in a few months, and am just kicking myself for waiting so long for this surgery.  Congratulations.  Lori

Happy Birthday!!!! I know you are a great inspiration to many.  Although the loss slowed, I continued to lose after the one year mark.  I lost 70 pounds in 1997, 2002, 40 pounds in 2004 and 2007.  Each time I spent 3 hours a day vigorously working out in the gym.  I think that is what helped me with my skin this time around.  But I do have an issue with my legs and behind.  Even though I have spent very little time in the gym this time (I walk a lot), I had  muscles going into surgery.  Also, the first exercise I did were shoulder/neck exercises. I have weights at home, and I used them several times per day when I was newly post op  so I could build up my neck.

Thank you.  Your stats are amazing, and our surgery dates are not too far apart.

Congratulations Dasie, you look fantastic.

Sorry to hear you are dealing with RH.  I feel so fortunate as I see more post-ops deal with this.  Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
