Thanks Brian. I got the packet in the mail from the office. So technically i wasnt told by anyone except from their letter. But i dont DARE call the office to ask Annette. My plan is to talk to my PCP and see if he'll call Dr Roye and ask. My insurance will def not cover it so thats why i was kinda freaking out. lol. Thankfully, i am a little bit more relieved. Thanks so much for the reply.

Congrats on the approval Erica!!  As far as the sleep study is concerned, I had mine done in 2003 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in CT.  So not only was I not at RIH, I was out of state and it was 7 years ago!!  Yet they accepted that sleep study.  There is no reason that they wont accept the one you did at Kent, especially if it was recent, plus chances are, your insurance wont pay for another one if it was done in the past year or so. 
Just out of curiousity, who told you it had to be from RIH?  Was it from Dr Roye himself or was it Annette??  I would suggest calling them and just flat out telling them that your PCP just sent you for one (whenever he/she did this) and you can get them a copy of the results of it, and that your insurance wont cover another one this close to the last.  They should accept it.  A sleep study is a sleep study is a sleep study.

I wanted to tell everyone i've been approved for my surgery!!! Woohoo! Very happy. I got the paperwork today from Dr. Roye's office on what tests i have to do. I'm very excited to be going through the process but theres one hurdle. I have to do a sleep study but my PCP already sent me for one last month. Dr. Roye said all the tests have to be done at RIH but i did my sleep study at Kent in Warwick. Has anyone been through this? Im hoping that if my PCP talks to Dr Roye he may accept the sleep study from Kent but not sure how strict he is about this. Any suggestions?
