My wife and I planning on going. She just had her RNY last monday. I've only been once so far (it will be the wife's first time) but everyone was really nice and very supportive.

Hi Kerry,  I know it seems like forever that you have to be on pureed foods,  but this is really a short time in the scheme of things.  This too shall pass! LOL  You are doing great and you WILL graduate to soft and then harder foods.  And THEN this will be all just a memory.  Keep the faith!!  You'll get there!    Eldy

Hi!  I have the bullet too!  I keep it at work so I can make a shake when I want one.  If you use ice, itll make the shake nice and thick and icy cold!  YUM!    Eldy

Topic: RE: The Lap Band
Hi.  I had Dr. Roye who is in the same practice as Dr. Ryder.  He is incredible but I can not say the same for his secretary.  She is a pain in the *%@!!  But dealing with her is worth having him as a surgeon.  I had the Realize Band placed a week ago today and I feel fabulous.  I had no complications from the surgery and my incisions look beautiful (as far as incisions go).  They did give me the option of staying one night which I would highly recommend and the nurses in the Coop building at RI Hospital were fabulous.  It was really a great experience for me.

Good Luck!
Patty
