Topic: RE: The Lap Band
Thanks to anyone who answered... I'm reading them all and if anyone else has input I certainly am looking for ALL information.  I've only gone to the miriam one and have an appt. with Dr. V in January....  Which is the dr. at RIH and which is the Dr. at Roger Williams?  I'm just wondering how I'm going to decide, and hoping that once I do that the process won't take 4ever.  I know I can't have the bi-pas or the DS due to pancreatic cancer being in my family so the Lap Band is my only answer... and then I'll have to make sure that won't be a problem.  I guess I should attend a meeting at RIH and also Roger Williams......and do research on the doctors through the internet as well as the hospitals.  Again - thanks for the input and keep em coming!

Tiffany had her open DS surgery on the 16th . I have been updating her surgery page but thought I would put it here too.

She is in pain but doing well.No problems, everything went well with the surgery itself.
She is in a NJ. hospital so I haven't visited but her mom will update me again tomorrow after she see's her.

Hi Kathy!

I highly recommend www.vitalady.com!

The Nectar shakes by Syntrax are all fantastic! At vitalady, you can buy samples instead of committing to a large batch. There are so many flavors too like...Strawberry Kiwi, Caribbean Cooler (tastes like pina colada), Apple Ecstacy (tastes like granny smith apples), fuzzy navel (peach), chocolate truffle....and so many more!!!

I'm 18 months out and still drink the Nectar shakes because they taste so good.

Hey!  It was nice meeting you last night!!  :o)  I will take them off your hands if you'd like.  I should be now or soon in a 22. I was a 24/26 (in jeans) before the surgery...so am probably close to a 22 now.. Maybe at the next meeting if you wanna hold on to them that long..its up to you. :o)
