Did you they prescribe a liquid painkiller? I was prescribed one that worked well the first week after surgery.
That is probably the side your port is on and will get better in a short while.

Hi, OK I am one week post op tomorrow, I am in some pain on the left hand side where the bigger of the five holes is. when I get out of bed in the morning, or just getting up or down really hurts. I have talked to Jeremy he said its normal, please does anybody no of anything that will help with this PAIN please let me no!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Vicky and although I have been considering getting a lapband for sometime, I finally decided to get active about it. I have already been to the info session at Miriam Hospital and I was hoping to hear about other programs. What program are you in, did you like it, what you did not like about it...etc. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, I am trying my hardest to get all my shakes and water down, the walking isn't bad just hurts when I first get up, but I am sure that will go away with time and movement.

Hi, I just read your story I feel your pain I've been overweight my entire life, the ups and downs with the scale really sucks!! I Just had my surgery done Wednesday the 25Th, yes I was really nervous at first but I think I made the right choice. I am a widowed mother of two girls 17 and 12 so not only did I make the choice for myself i also did it for them I wanted to see them graduate and see what life has to offer them. I think you will make the right decision, maybe you should go to a few support groups that will put your mind at ease they are very help full. your doctor will all so go over everything with you, I do have to admit I had the same fear what if I die, but after I went to my doctor she put me at ease. Topic: Home from the hospital

Hi, well I came home from the hospital yesterday. The day after surgery I was still very uncomfortable from the gas, got up and walked the halls most of the day got the gas flowing, was able to drink water no problem. Yesterday I was able to have a shake the first one they gave me was good not so sure about the second one, it was gross didn't get much of that down. Was very, very tired yesterday not sure why. Today is day 3 after surgery feel pretty good right now, will be a little slow for a few days.

Good Luck! Everything will be fine be positive. My surgery is on Feb 7th and Im a lil nervous but excited too. God is with me and I know everything will be fine.
