This is an older post, so hopefully you have found a good place to walk already. But if not, the Blackstone Valley River Bike Path is AWESOME and if you need someplace that is lit up at night, the track in Woonsocket has lights. It is near Landmark Hospital, across from the Incinerator and Firestation (the same parking lot as the Chinese restuarant... but no stopping there!!!) ;-)

It's a class with the nutritionist and bariatric coordinator to let you know all you have to do after surgery and what you need to buy to survive lol. Usually it is done with everyone having surgery that week. Guess not many happening next week, they canceled and told me they would do

no I havent had any of the medical testing or the psych eval done. I see the Surgeon in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will go quickly. Thank you

Great to hear your on your way! Did you have your psych. appointment too? That I believe is also required. Once your done with all requirements your on your way to hopefully a healthier you!

I have already done my first nutrionist appt. I have my 2nd one scheduled. I will only have 1 more with the nut. I been told I don't have to do any medically supervised Diet. Which I was told when I checked on coverage.
I have my first appt with the surgeon scheduled the beginning of August. I have already done the 2 support groups meetings. Hopefully I will begin the testing soon. I still cant believe this could be happening. I still get scared something is going to prevent this from happening. I am trying to keep the faith.

The new rules with healthmate are 3 nutrition appointments. I also need to have 6 weeks of psych (group) classes and 1 month of proven supervised diet . (ie: w/w, nutrisystem, etc). I'm hoping to finish all my appointments so I can submit for a revision approval for sometime in September/October. I have the band and hate hate hate it...
Realize Band 11/2009 ... revision to RNY 12/27/11.

I hate to say I am a little jealous...wink wink. Good luck and I will be praying for you . Make sure one of your post-op walks is to the computer to keep us up to date!

I have to laugh... I was feeling the same way with Dr. V office too.
But all is underway now.
I think this is such a big business now they do not have the staff to handle all of us! lol
