Wow Marcia, that really stinks! I mean you had the IV and the Heparin shot and all. I would have been totally upset too. I don't blame you. Good thing he said he will do it Friday. Well, Friday will be here and you will get the surgery done and over with. Look on the bright side... you have one heck of a story to tell! Keep your resolve and you will get thru this. Just a set back. There is a reason for everything that happens. I think I have pretty much hit all the cliche's I can. I just want to bring up your spirits and know that it will be all good. Take care and keep your chin up ( oops thats one more)! Eldy

I'm sorry that happened! That is dissapointing, but don't get down! You will be right back on Friday, keep your excitement up and stay positive! Everything is going to be fine :)

I am so disappointed! I was originally scheduled for 11:30 am and told to arrive at 10:00 am. I received a call from RWH yesterday telling me they changed my time to 1:00 pm and to arrive at 11:30 am. I arrived at 11:30. They processed my admission and prepped me with and IV and a Heparin shot. Then I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited! Finally Dr. Pohl came in and said he had an emergency surgery and would have to postpone mine. He said he wouldn't have anything available for at least 3 weeks. I started to freak out and explained to him that my husband already took his vacation time for this and would not be able to get any more time off. (Not just for me, but he needs to stay home with my 4 kids). He then agreed to put me on the schedule first thing this Friday morning. I am so nervous that something will happen and I won't have surgery at that time. It's bad enough that I already did the liquids yesterday and I couldn't drink anything after midnight. I ended up going from midnight to 2:30 pm today before I could have some water. But the mental preparation I went through was draining. So I'm scheduled for this Friday at 7:30 am. Let's hope everything goes as planned this time.

That is amazing 200lbs in one year , you rock man....keep up the great work, you really do inspire us...

Hi everyone.
I just got an email a little while ago from Marcia and she was on her way to the hospital, should be in surgery by now. I'll be calling her husband after 3pm to check on her and will let everyone know how she is. Gonna try and stop by and see her tonight.
Please keep her in your thoughts today.
