Cathy.
Glad all went well with your surgery, and you are home and feeling so well. Don't overdue..too much too soon. Drinking is important along with your sleep and exercise. Take care and welcome to the loser's bench

Topic: One Year Ago!! **LONG but well worth it!!****
WOW 1 year ago to the minute I believe I was waking up in recovery...
What a year it has been.. Actually the journey started a year and a half ago. I was 320LBS and I thought I was happy!! Boy was I wrong!! Although the last few months I have hit a rough patch and I have learned that old habits are VERY hard to break!! I am working on fixing the bad in me and getting myself to goal. A new year has begun and I can't be happier to continue my journey. I am have met so many new friends during this process that i am truley blessed!!
I was in a 24/26 pants and a 5Xl (30/32) top this time last year..I am proudly wearing a size 12 pants and a XL top (I still like my big tops maybe after I get some skin cut off I will wear a L)
So my complete weight loss since my 1st phone call to the dr's office is 97LBS!!! I really wanted the 100 but I know it will come. I had another small fill on Monday so if these damb demons will leave my head I will get there soon!!! I am satrting slowly to learn again how to eat and what portion fills me. It is so hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I am satfied after such a small amount of food. I STILL LOVE FOOD!! I will make the progress I need to get to where I need to be!! I just need to put 100% effort into this like I was 1 year ago!! I would have never thought this would have been so hard but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Do I wish I had bypass?? At times YES!! but than I ask myself why?? Would the bypass have cured my bad habits?? Would the bypass have stopped my mouth from opening?? All the questions I have to why I wish I would have got the bypass have answers of NO. So I am confident I made the right choice!!!
Oh and by the way Dr Roye is thrilled and he said I far surpassed the average % of weight loss in a band patient. I am actually as a Bypass %.
Thanks to all the freind I have made and for all your advice and support through thid journey. Thanks esppically to Jules who always make you fell like one of her own family memebrs!!!
Thanks so much everyone
Jaime

You can have pills anytime as long as they are the size of the tip of your finger. Otherwise, split or crush them.

Hi Julia,
I was swallowing my pain medication the day after surgery and didn't have any problems. If they are tablets I would split them and make sure you take it with plenty of water. Hope you feel better.
